The tour guide - Roxanna. Well presented facts that were linked to present time made the visit special. What can/must be definitely improved was the cleqninless of the bistro in the middle of the site. The place were purely managed. Dirty tables, litter was all over the place. Despite of high number of present employees.

Andrea was a true expert on Pompeii and was able to explain every question clearly. The tour was very entertaining thanks to all the anecdotes. You’re given a headset for your right ear, so you don’t miss a thing. The only suggestion for improvement would be a larger sign to help find the group :)

The guide was amazing!!!! He spoke Spanish fluently. In our group of just four people, I was the only Spanish speaker; the others spoke Portuguese, and he was kind and flexible enough to speak in both languages. The tour went from the general to the specific, giving us the tools to explore the entire city on our own after the tour ended and to truly understand what Pompeii was—its people, beliefs, and the personal and general life of the city—demystifying the phallic symbols not as something vulgar and ordinary in our time, but as symbols of prosperity and good energy in that patriarchal society. In short, spectacular!!! Thank you!!!

Our archaeologist guide was so passionate about the site and everything she had to tell us about it. She was witty and funny and we found her very enjoyable. The two hour tour was a little hard on these 69-year-old bodies and the pace seemed to be a little quicker than we were comfortable with. But there were frequent stops and we were savvy enough to have brought enough water with us. Anyone with any type of mobility issue will be hard pressed to enjoy this, especially during the hot summer months.

The tour was very good. Gave us a glimpse of everyday Roman colony city life. What should be added: tell about those sites worth visiting after the tour thatwere skipped. Also about the cafeteria. Gad to ask about tgese. Also in tge beginning when going to Lupernalia, perhaps tell about other buildings we pass, not just about red light district related stuff. Felt like that was the only building of interest. 😃
