Mamertime Prisison is a unique experience. You can feel the wheight in the atmosfera due to the big fathers of Christian faith that were prisions there. I got deeply emotional when I got deep inside in the prision. Looking at the stone that served as pillow for Apostoles Peter and Paul was to dificulty for me as a Christian.

Known from the Middle Ages as Mamertine Prison, this attraction is Rome’s oldest prison. Originally known as Carcer Tulliamum, this prison for several centuries had a maximum-security penitentiary for enemies of Rome awaiting execution. It is a well-known fact that those who entered this prison never survived.
