Highlights

Did you know?
  • The Louvre Museum has its own secret underground tunnel system, connecting three of its main buildings.
  • Underneath the Louvre's courtyard lies the remains of a medieval fortress, the original structure from the 12th century on which the museum was built.
  • In 1803, the Louvre was renamed to Musée Napoléon, after Napoleon Bonaparte. The name remained till 1815 when Napoleon abdicated.
  • 3,690 paintings, sculptures, and other valuable works were relocated from the Louvre in 1939 before the Nazis invaded during World War II.
  • The Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911 by Italian handyman Vincenzo Peruggia, making international headlines. By the time she was recovered, she had become the most famous painting in the world.

Ordering process: Tickets for the Louvre were no longer available in other online stores for our time period, so we made a reservation with an audio guide and paid immediately via headout. We were promptly notified of the reservation, but we were a little unsure whether it would work due to some of the reviews. A few days before the visit, we were informed about changes to the entrance due to the Olympic Games. The reservation was confirmed two days before the visit. On the day itself, everything went smoothly, the digital ticket worked perfectly and we had a wonderful visit to the Louvre. Louvre: The building is impressive in size and splendor and the paintings and sculptures carry you away. The visit to the Louvre was definitely the highlight of our trip to Paris. Thank you for the fantastic service!

Both the Louvre Museum and the Seine boast cruise were amazing experiences. We used the Headout app to show and scan our tickets for entry and we had a smooth, no hassle experience. At both venues we were a little uncertain if we were in the right line ups but venue staff were so friendly and helpful and confirmed we were exactly where we needed to be.

We had a ticket with only 30 minutes waiting time and didn't have to wait at all. The visit to the Louvre was the wish of my 11 year old granddaughter who wanted to go to the Louvre and really wanted to see the Mona Lisa!

Ok so first thing to say ia that this is legitimate and from a proper company and it works.. Basically they get you to meet near the small triumphal arch and everyone gets a sticker.. What happens next is that you go as a group of about 20 down a completely separate entrance.. the guide takes you to a special group area and gives a breif in a dedicated room.. He then did a pretty quick tour of some of the main highlights with a bit of commentary.. (id say his tour was a bit over an hour).. you are then free to explore the museum on yr own.. For us the royal rooms and some of the ancient foreign artefacts were more if a highlight than the mona lisa (they could so with a more formal queue sygem for that.. at the moment its just a massive scrum in front of the painting with no system) So overall definitely reccomend.. it is a genune way to beat the queue and the quick tour was great

We recently visited the Louvre Museum with headout, and overall, it was a pretty awesome experience! The arrangements were smooth, and the guide did a great job explaining everything. The artefacts and paintings at the Louvre are simply mind-blowing – we were amazed at every turn. That said, there are a couple of things that could be improved. The agency should keep their contact phone available – it was hard to reach them. Inside the Louvre, we didn't get much time to spend on each painting, probably because it was crowded. We also lost track of our guide a few times and eventually couldn’t find her at all :-) Despite these hiccups, it was still a fantastic visit. The museum and its surroundings are stunning, and the history and charm of the place are just incredible. In short, even with the minor issues, I had a great time and would definitely recommend the Louvre visit through Headout– it's an amazing place to explore! Thanks, Headout!
