Definitely not a place to miss . It's really well organized , lots to see and learn from , the submarine tour was my favorite . The top hangar was also excellent , the space Centre was great . Great to go with your kids . They had such a great time and also learned a lot ....

The tour took us on a journey back in time. It was very interesting and enjoyable to walk up the stairs to the different levels and see the well-maintained facilities. I’m definitely coming back with friends.

Visited with 3 children ages 5 -10, during Kids Week at The Intrepid Museum. They were not too sure at the beginning, but all ended up loving it! Being able to see actual planes and helicopters (even climb inside one!) helped solidify how HUGE the ship had to be to accommodate all the aircraft, as well as all the people to run the ship. We climbed up and around every available level, seeing what life was like on board. Staff we readily available for information and directions, in addition to the map (available in multiple languages). Kids Week activities had something for everyone to do, and gave a change of pace for everyone from time to time throughout the day. We stayed much longer than we had anticipated, as there was so much to see and do, and all went home tired and happy.

To see it in its entirety was fantastic. The volunteers assuming ex- servicemen made it like you were part of it. Both the Intrepid and the Growler were amazing to walk through. The free Kamikaze video was very moving.

Great experience; highly recommend going to the fighter jet full motion g-force simulators inside the hangar deck of the USS Intrepid. Also, very nice access to the concorde, you can walk right below it and go inside if you book a tour at the box office.

The entire flight deck was closed to those of us who had paid full (and high) price and was especially looking forward to seeing it. Bummer for my European visitors.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind that selfie sticks, tripods, and professional photography equipment are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

Safety is a priority so access to the Growler is restricted for guests under the height of 1m (3.28ft).

Strollers, large bags, and backpacks are not permitted on the Growler.

Accessibility

This experience is mostly wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible. However, the submarine, gun tubs, anchor chain room, captain's bridge.

Trigger warning: Areas inside the Growler are narrow and may not be suitable for visitors with claustrophobia.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

The Space Shuttle Pavilion is closed until March 25 for the installation of a new exhibit, When We Went to the Moon. This exhibit opens March 25 and runs until September 2.
