The Casa Milla Dex experience is an interactive self-guided tour available exclusively with selected Casa Milla admission tickets booked through Headout.
Put on your earphones and follow a story that unfolds from the courtyards up to the roof terrace, connecting the undulating stone façade and the rooftop chimneys with the ironwork, painted courtyards, and structural columns hidden inside. Historical and fictional characters lead you through stories of Antoni Gaudí’s last civil commission and the arguments over it, Pere Milà and Roser Segimon, who commissioned the building; the nickname La Pedrera and the quarry it was said to resemble; and Josep Maria Jujol’s balcony ironwork and the load-bearing structure that let the walls curve, accompanied by original music and immersive sound design.
How Dex guides you through the building
- Dex uses your phone’s location to guide you along a recommended route covering the two interior courtyards, the Espai Gaudí attic with its brick arches, the recreated Pedrera Apartment, and the rooftop terrace with its chimneys and stairwells.
- As you reach each location, it automatically begins the story connected to what you are seeing.
- The route is only the starting point. When a chimney, a balcony, or a column catches your attention, pause and ask your Dex guide a question.
- Photograph a supported architectural detail, ironwork panel, or fitting to uncover more about it, open a related story, or return to the route when you are ready.
- Dex also points you towards recommended viewpoints, photo spots, and parts of the courtyards and attic that are easy to pass through quickly. You decide when to pause, where to go deeper, and when to continue.
How Dex differs from an audio guide and a group tour
