The tour wasn't too rushed. We had plenty of time to admire the buildings and the surroundings. Our guide, Camilla, was great; her explanations were very informative, and she was both kind and very knowledgeable.

What to bring

Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes since exploring the sprawling grounds of Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira involves a fair amount of walking.

If travelling with a child, bring a child safety seat as bus providers do not supply baby seats.

Bring weather-appropriate clothing, as the tour will take place rain or shine.

Pack your sunhat, sunglasses, SPF, and water bottle to beat the heat, especially during summer.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the palaces or on the tour bus.

Your pets are not permitted at the Pena Palace & Park.
