A show you have to see at least once in your life. Every performer gives it their all: tap dancing, live music, and authentic performances. It’s not your typical
“cabaret”—it’s pure talent.
The only downside: the seat the app assigned didn’t match the actual seat I was given.
Overall, I highly recommend it—a truly memorable experience.
I was particularly impressed by the immersive atmosphere and the incredibly talented and beautiful dancers (to say the least). Their performances are amazing—you’ll be spellbound.
A Christmas Carol was truly a wonderful experience. Especially when you watch it at Christmas, it really puts you in that special Christmas mood. The actor playing Ebenezer Scrooge was very convincing, and I even shed a few tears when he hugged Timmy Tim at the end.
Brilliantly written, forced everyone in the audience to ask questions of themselves about their responsibilities towards others, and Rosamund Pike is electric: wonderful to see her in person in this lovely theatre. I was on a jury recently where we were asked to judge between two very young first lovers who had made terrible mistakes in their relationship and all of us were wrung out by compassion for both of them. We ended up deciding not guilty beyond reasonable doubt on two of the three charges against the boy but could not agree on the third. The judge (a woman) gave us more sessions to come to a verdict but in the end we remained split. We were dismissed and the case never went back to trial. I'm impressed by how penetratingly the author, cast and production got beyond audience's first responses to the suffering that occurs around sexual assault, for all concerned, including those asked to dispense justice, man or woman.
