    The story

It’s the opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor, mounted by the hapless Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society. The actors mean well, but everything that can go wrong does: the set falls apart, the leading lady collapses, cues vanish and props revolt. In The Play That Goes Wrong, you’ll be watching a play within a play, each misstep adding to the fun as chaos mounts and the question becomes: will they ever reach the final curtain?

    Critics reviews

“Put your rational mind into sleep-mode, the better to savour tickling images of order-inverting bizarreness… the audience roared as loudly as the crowds at any wrestling match.”

    - The New York Times

“The actors are very good at being bad and are so daring with the outrageous physical comedy that we often fear for their safety.”

    - Hollywood Reporter
