I enjoyed thinking about and discussing a little about how Michelangelon was given a lot of freeodom in choosing how to manifest passages from Genesis and Revelation. His freedom of the artist does not totally limit the meaning and interpretation of indviduals who are inspired by "Mike's" work, from their own understanding of Scripture. Regarless of Michelangel's own attutude toward his subject, the images he used, or the "models" he used to portray the biblical narrative, those who also know the narrative will, hopefully with cause, draw even Christian meanings from the images and their arrangements themselves. In other words, Michelangel's intentions, are not necessarily the controlling factor in how the individual viewer sees, values, and interprets the meaning of the art and its arrangement for themselves.

A very interesting tour with a top-notch guide. The only downside: the tour starts at 9:45 a.m., and you have to pick up the tickets at the agency next to the Vatican entrance because we weren’t given the final tickets when we booked. The agency’s website states that it opens at 10:00 a.m. We crossed Rome to pick up the tickets the day before, worried we wouldn’t be able to take the tour, but in fact the agency opens earlier, and you need to arrive 30 minutes before the tour to pick up the final tickets. It would make more sense to provide the final tickets at the time of booking so there is no confusion.

Thank you for having us in your agency as tourists. Very friendly staff! A big TOI! For miss Martha! She is very kind, positive and full of knowledge and Information! Also she is attentive with the group counting and recounting. We add the fact that she likes to keep up and see if the tourists are memorizing what she explained and said by asking the group questions and having more than a usual conversation. Also wishing her a happy beloved and full of smile wedding! With respect-Marina&Mihai the romanian pupils from the 11.04.2026 for the 10.45 that started at 11:00 A.M.

Incredible sculptures, painting and many more. The sistine chapel is a masterpiece. Carefull: if you want to cath the basilica open, book earlier the 16:00 (like we had). Our guide through the museum and chapel took about 1h 45m, leaving us with only 15min to still chatch the basilica before last entry at 18:00. The line was quite big since the entrance is free. The basilica is not available all days. You must check. There are screens in the st. pietro sq letting you know.

Gavi - Vincenzo was a Perfect Host/guide! Very knowledgeable, plenty of tips for St. Peters Basilica, trips around Rome, Florence and Italy in general! The tour might sound expensive in the beginning, but once you start passing all those thousands of people waiting in line, all while you are hearing interesting facts it is more than worth every single cent! Highly recommend!!

Our guide, Eugenia, made the tour both enjoyable and informative. Skipping the lines was a real treat. One area for improvement (though I’m sure it’s very difficult) was that our time in the Sistine Chapel was too short. At times, the audio wasn’t clear through the headphones (with so many groups and audio guides, there was some interference). We’ll be back another time. Thank you very much for the tour.
