Know Before You Go
On Wednesday mornings & afternoons St. Peter's Basilica may be closed to the public due to the Papal Audience taking place in Saint Peter’s Square. If you wish to visit St. Peter’s Basilica, please plan to travel on another day. The Basilica is also subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies.
This tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica takes place on all days except Sunday at 8:30 AM, 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM.
The closest station to the Vatican is the Ottaviano-S. Pietro station. Line A of the Rome Metro stops at this station every few minutes. The meeting point is Piazza del Risorgimento (just at the center of the square you will find our staff members at the “Bar - Caffetteria L’Ottagono”). Your meeting point, as well as the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica, is a 5-minute walk from this metro station.
Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

How to Get There:
You will meet your tour guide at a cafe in Piazza del Risorgimento, a small square right outside the walls of the Vatican Museums, a 3-minute walk from the main entrance gate. The cafe, Bar - Caffetteria L’Ottagono, is on the eastern side of the piazza. At the cafe, you will meet your tour guide - look out for your guide wearing a white/pink t-shirt with an "I LOVE ROME" logo on it.
