Based on a 70-page portion of Leo Tolstoy’s masterpiece "War and Peace", this play is about Natasha, a beautiful young girl who waits for her fiance Andrey on her visit to Moscow. In a moment of weakness, she lets herself be seduced by the dashing and already married rebel Anatole, leading to her disrepute. Her only hope for redemption lies with Pierre and his quiet and compassionate love for her, which may just lead to his own salvation.
The acclaimed musical, based on a passage from War and Peace, is now live on Broadway with a groundbreaking score that mixes rock, pop, soul, folk and electronic dance music with classic Broadway. The show will feature celebrated actor Josh Groban in his broadway debut.
