João was great. We did this tour as our first experience in Lisbon. Was a great primer of the history of the city. João did a great job immersing us into what it would have been like to conquer the castle and the challenges. Was a great way to understand the features of the castle. We take a lot of these tours, and this experience ranks among the best.

We had an absolutely fantastic English-guided tour of São Jorge Castle with Leonor! She was incredibly knowledgeable and completely fluent in English—very clear, easy to understand, and engaging throughout the entire tour. I completely nerded out the whole time with all the history and information she shared! She gave us so much fascinating context and detail that really brought the castle and its history to life. You can tell she truly knows her stuff and enjoys sharing it. If you enjoy history and want to actually understand what you’re seeing rather than just walking around the castle, I highly recommend taking the English tour with Leonor.
