Seeing "My Neighbour Totoro" live in London's West End was an unforgettable experience. They have done an incredible job of bringing Studio Ghibli's masterpiece to the stage. The puppetry is utterly spectacular and completely jaw-dropping—the way Totoro and the Catbus are brought to life left the entire audience in absolute awe. Combined with the beautiful live music, the wonderful set design, and the brilliant performances of the cast, the show perfectly captures the nostalgia, emotion, and pure childhood wonder of the original film. It is a heartwarming, visually stunning, and deeply moving production that is a must-see for families, Ghibli fans, and anyone who loves extraordinary theatre. I would highly recommend getting tickets if you can!

The theater was a great space with no "bad" seats in the house. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar had a wide selection of drinks and snacks. The performance of "My Neighbor Totoro" was impressive. The sets were superbly done and the acting was energetic and fluid. Especially memorable were the crews who animated the characters and made them extremely lifelike. It was a great show for kids and there were a lot in the full audience. Many people knew the songs and sang along with their kids. It was great fun!

When I saw that Totoro was in the theatre, I decided to watch it with my brother. We were surprise by how well the stage was built, although it isn't such a big stage they maximised the space they have, both my brother and I loved the play, the actors were really good, the musicians were excellent, it felt magical. The moments were there was comedy it was funny and the moments were it was dramatic it was emotional. I definitely recommend the experience and I myself will go again as I loved it.

It's a wonderful occasion to see one of my favourite Glibi animes adapted for the stage. The stage sets, the cast, the story, the puppets and of course the music, was so beautifully chosen. Highlights are the songs and how exquisitely nature was represented as a healing force. It's a heartwarming, family-friendly show to remember. Lots of glibi fans there.

The story

Join sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, spritesand magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named 'Totoro' and his friend the 'Catbus'.

Absolutely amazing. The actor were truly stunning both in appearance and acting. There was not a single things that I didn't like. Costumes, performances, staff, musician, singer, the scenic effect department. It's the first time that I went out of a theater by giving a 10/10 experience.

Suggested age for this show is 6+, but younger guests are welcome. The show will be quite long, quite loud in parts, and possibly scary for some younger children at times. Children need to occupy their own seats at all times throughout the performance. This production is not suitable for children under 4 years of age (including babes in arms).

Keep in mind, the theater is air-conditioned throughout the year and can get a bit chilly. Bring along a light jacket if needed.
