School of Rock
School Of Rock
The musical tells the story of wannabe rockstar, Dewey Finn, who poses as a substitute teacher in a prestigious prep school and on discovering his students’ musical talents, enlists them in an outrageous rock band competition!
School Of Rock features original songs from the film as well as additional compositions from the world-acclaimed Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Glenn Slater.
A breakout performance by a new Broadway star and an insane rock score by Andrew Lloyd Webber makes the musical adaptation of School of Rock one of the hottest family shows of the fall.
School Of Rock Reviews
It worked for the movie, and wow, does it work on Broadway, a double jolt of adrenaline and sugar to inspire the most helicoptered of tots to play hooky and go shred an axe.
-- David Cote, Time Out New York
Andrew Lloyd Webber has chosen to adapt a movie with a plot that could hardly be sillier, and supplies a new score that could hardly be more addictive. 'School of Rock' is full of both hard-charging rock n roll and supremely catchy melodies.
-- Jonathan Mandell, DC Theatre Scene

Really fun show! The sound was a smidge too loud and drowned out the actors' vocals at times. We had good seats.
Awesome adaptation of the movie. Equally entertaining. Live rock and roll and ultimate melodies made it a super hit with our gang of friends! We watched it sitting in the mezzanine category. Got an excellent view and feel. Can watch it again for the music!
