Had the most magnificent tour - very informative and delivered with passion by Maria, who was really engaging. It was such a hot day and the long walk was wearing me down - I landed in Milan that same morning - but Maria made it all worth it. If there is anything to be improved, it would be the guy at the meeting point. Came at 12.30pm and there was no one. Gps brought me to the middle of the hot square which sent me checking with all other tour groups that have assembled and then, lo & behold, our guy was with his bike under the shade with a little flag in the bike basket. I was already sweating buckets. Thank goodness, Maria saved the day.

Easy to buy online. Good communication and directions and tickets easily downloaded from app. We got tickets for 13.30 on a Sunday, very short queue and got inside in less than 5 minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it, the view from the terrace was fantastic. We climbed the stairs, both in our 60s and managed it. I wore a pashmina and long dress my husband wore trousers.

We visited at 4pm in the afternoon, which seemed a good time to miss the busiest periods. The cathedral is stunning inside and out and the rooftop experience allows you to get so much closer to the fabulous architecture and art work. Take the elevator and wear sensible shoes!!

Walking across the lower terraces, between gargoyles and statues through the column arches, was the absolute highlight for us. It was a breathtaking sight that had to be captured in photos. History you can touch!

It was easy to collect the tickets and the location is well indicated. However, it would be good to add a numbered map to show where the different must-see points with commentary are located. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

What a visit! If you visit the Duomo, make sure you book the skip the line roof-top visit. It was breath taking. We have visited most of the major cathedrals in Europe and this was among the very best experiences we've had.

Tour information was great but the layout of direction of the tour felt a bit disorganized. I felt like we were back and fourth a lot. Overall it was enjoyable and we learned a lot.

Magnificent cathedral, astonishing and awe-inspiring interior. Terrace and rooftop walk involved (naturally) a lot of stair climbing, but definitely worth it if you are fit enough.

The wait in line in the sun was tedious. Perhaps there should be more shaded areas during the waiting time, which shouldn't have been so long, although it's understandable due to the influx of tourists. But the views and the experience of going up to the terraces are highly recommended and spectacular.
