Why You Shouldn't Miss This
Why You Shouldn't Miss This
Standing tall at 310 metres, the Shard is London's highest observation deck. The views from here are breathtaking. You can look at the bustling city beneath you, the Thames winding through, and (if you plan it right) the sun setting over the city. One of the most famous landmarks in the city, the Shard features numerous shops and dining options as well. Once you are in, you can spend as long as you'd like looking out to the sprawling city as far as the naked eye can see. Additionally, a multi-sensory experience takes you through a millennium of the city's history. This chance to get a bird's eye view of England's capital is an experience you cannot compare to any other.
Your Experience
Your Experience
When booking your tickets, choose the time and date of your choice. You experience begins at the time you've selected. Your tickets give you access to levels 68, 69, and 72. Once inside, you will have to take the lift up to the 68th level. The lift covers 6 metres in a second, so it will take you about a minute to reach the level. As you ride up, you will see stunning visuals on the lift, and facts about the city of London. You can walk around floors 68 and 69, and then make your way to the open air deck at level 72, where two panels of the building taper together. With no time limit in the attraction, you are free to explore for as long as you'd like. Once at the deck, you can look out to the city of London. Be sure to check for the London Eye, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, and 20 Fenchurch Street (aka the Walkie Talkie). You can also use digital telescopes with touchscreens to zoom in on these attractions and learn more about them, along with what they look like at different times of the day. On level 72, you can also buy yourself a glass of bubbly champagne to enjoy as you behold a sight of unimaginable beauty.
