It’s one of those places that’s much more impressive in person than in photos ❤️ St. Stephen’s Basilica is incredibly beautiful. From the outside, it’s majestic, but when you step inside, you simply don’t know where to look first. So many details, gold, marble, frescoes, and mosaics—it all looks very opulent and, at the same time, truly atmospheric. I especially loved the feeling inside—it’s somehow very peaceful and majestic at the same time. And if you go up to the observation deck, you’ll be treated to a gorgeous view of Budapest 😍 It’s definitely a must-see if you’re in Budapest. Even if you’re not really into churches or architecture, this one will definitely leave an impression. ✨

St Stephen's is the most lavish cathedral I have ever visited - talk about awe and wonder! My photos do not do it justice. It is well worth paying the extra for the panoramic view. Lots of steps up (over 300!) but there is also an elevator. The Headout skip the line ticket is a must - people were queuing down the street at the ticket office, but there is a separate entrance for online bookings, where there was no queue at all. The ticket is valid for entry any time from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Our visit to St Stephen's Basilica was made so easy by being able to collect the tickets from the pick up point, beating the long line of queuing visitors.
