We had a great city tour with our guide. We got to see Budapest in a whole new light, and we’re very grateful to him. We didn’t enjoy the tour of the Parliament building quite as much, though. For a building of this size, there’s very little space open to visitors. Having already visited the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest (the second-largest administrative building in the world), I can confirm that there was much more to see there. So we were a bit disappointed.

Ezther was a wonderful guide. Great overview of Budapest and way to orient yourself to the city. Highly recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your visit to Budapest as she made helpful suggestions on sites, activities and restaurants for the rest of our trip.

Our guide arranged the tickets while we ustiluswd the clean bathrooms and had a cup of average coffee. The tour was good. We liked the central stairs, the crown and the unused upper house chamber.

Great team. Lulu and Ben were great and had some great insights into the history of Budapest. Although a relatively large group,30+, Ben handled it well and we were kept on schedule.

Ben was fantastic, highly recommend! Amazing how some people book these tours then sit on their phone the whole time and don't listen to the tour guide--absurd behavior. Despite the irritation, the tour was well designed and very efficient!

It was the only way to see the inside of Parliament (a tour lasting about an hour), but unfortunately, we spent over two hours on the bus first, driving around Budapest. We got off for 10 minutes at Heroes’ Square and for 40 minutes in Buda: outside St. Matthias Church and in front of the Fishermen’s Bastion. We left at 9:45 a.m. and arrived at the Parliament at 1:10 p.m. Admission began at 1:30 p.m., but security checks didn’t start until 1:45 p.m., so the whole thing wrapped up around 2:30 p.m. Total time: about 5 hours, more than half of which we spent cooped up on a bus! Find another way to see the inside of the Parliament—this one takes up half a day!

  • Begin your Budapest tour by heading to the top of Gellért Hill, where you can get picturesque views of the entire city. Next up is the Castle District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart and soul of old Budapest. The district is home to several of Buda's most important landmarks, including The Matthias Church, Hungarian National Gallery, and Fisherman’s Bastion. Get a glimpse into Hungarian history at Heroes' Square, one of the city's largest squares and renowned for the stunning Millennium Monument. Other top attractions on the tour include Andrássy Avenue, City Park, and Europe's largest Synagogue.

Your last stop is the Parliament Building. Disembark from the bus and set off on a guided tour of this magnificent structure. Inside, see the stately session room, the intricately decorated central staircase, and the great vaulted hall. Visit the cupola room, and see the Crown Jewels and the Hungarian Holy Crown.
