We booked this tour months in advance. Everything was well-organized and clearly marked. The app led us to the meeting point, which was a small café in the middle of a square. It’s important to arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before the start time of the tour. The guide then led us to the security line. A very friendly guide who took the time to chat with the group while we waited. Since it was the day after Easter Monday, we had to wait about an hour in line to get through security, but that gave us time to admire the basilica from the outside and take some photos. Then, we went straight up to the dome and waited another hour before going up (max 100 people at the top). The wait was well worth it!! A splendid view of the entire Vatican!! We chose the stairs and it wasn’t too bad. There are places to take breaks. However, be careful if you’re claustrophobic—the staircases are sometimes very narrow

I had the chance to take a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica with Sam, and I highly recommend him. It was simply amazing! Sam speaks perfect French; he’s very understanding, attentive, and takes the time to answer all questions. He is an expert on his subject: his knowledge is impressive, and he knows how to convey it clearly and engagingly, without ever being too academic. The tour was punctuated by captivating anecdotes that made the experience even more vivid. He showed us everything with great pedagogy and enthusiasm. Plus, he really made the tour easier for us by letting us know how to handle the wait to get into the dome, which is a real bonus! Honestly, it was perfect from start to finish. A big thank you to Sam for this exceptional experience! The Corsicans

The tour of St. Peter's Basilica was great. Despite a long line that stretched across the entire square, the guide kept us well-informed and entertained. He mixed facts with humor, which made the wait all the more enjoyable. He maintained this style inside the church as well, which was very pleasant. Downside: The audio connection to the guide frequently cut out inside the church or got mixed up with another group. Because of this, we couldn’t hear the guide at certain points.

The booking and the guide were very good. Easy to find guide and they ensured the whole group got though each step. However it took 2 hours to get though the security the ticket system but this was the Vatican not the tour guide. If you find a skip the queue ticket get it! The experience was great, the lift does not take you to thr very top but the walk up was interesting but not for the everyone. Small and crowded. Still glad we did it

We had a fantastic guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica today. Even while we were waiting in line, we learned so much interesting information that the wait seemed to fly by. There is so much to see inside the basilica that it’s almost impossible to take it all in without a guide. We would book this tour again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

The tour guide was excellent. Truly excellent. He did a brilliant job in difficult circumstances. You need to know that there is an unavoidable queue to get into the church via the security scanners. No fast track exists. It is a long queue but moves pretty quickly. The tour guide kept us entertained all the wait with the history and architecture of the area. Once you are in there is a "fast track" for guides in that there are 3 checkpoints to 1 the ordinary way. The Bascillia is breathtaking and worth the visit alone. The guide made it much more interesting however. My kids were engaged through it and asked questions which he was really good at answering. His enthusiasm and knowledge was outstanding. The Dome - personally I would not bother. It's a very long queue to get even to the stairs and the view is fine but nothing special in the scheme of elevated places. Save the time and spend more in the church is my advice. The tour guide is worth the money. Audio guides we also had are just not close to bringing it to life and you can't ask questions!!
