I was unable to find the tour guide at the Obelisk in St. Peter’s square as directed. Was there at 8;30 and did not see a yellow flag. I did however have a wonderful self directed tour. Thank you for this follow up.

Even though it is 500 years old, Michelangelo's dome is still the tallest in the world. Your special access tickets will let you take the elevator to the very top of St. Peter's. Here, you will get the chance to take in the magnificent view of Rome.

Marvel at the dazzling, intricate level of detail and gold displayed all over the interior of the Basilica. You will learn about its construction, interior and importance in Christianity. The tour will give you time to visit important artworks by Michelangelo, Bernini, Raphael, and other old masters. At the end of your guided tour, you'll visit the grotto underneath the church and St. Peter's tomb.
