The cruise itself and the captain and bartender were all nice. The name of the cruise should be changed on the Headout site to Heineken Flagship Cruise. (We were told our cruise was the Flagship Cruise, the boat at the dock was wrapped in Heineken signage so, even though we were first in line, we did not board because we did not think that boat was ours.)

The route and Amsterdam at night. The staff should be careful of what they say in Dutch because some guests might speak Dutch as well.

What’s not allowed

Smoking is not permitted on the cruise.

Outside food and drinks, and large items, such as a suitcase or pram, are not allowed onboard.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair accessible.

Additional information

Children up to and including 3 years old may board for free. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 years can board with discounted tickets. Children older than 12 pay the same price as adults.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Evening cruises departing from the Rijksmuseum are typically operated on open boats.

Saloon boats are only heated during the winter season, with plenty of blankets on board to keep you warm. During spring, the boats are generally operated without heating, as temperatures are usually comfortable without it.

During the summer, the boats are not equipped with a canopy. There are enough umbrellas on board the boat to keep you dry during your cruise. If there is heavy summer rain, the skipper will seek refuge.

If the weather is bad, the cruise will be cancelled. You will be notified in advance so you can rebook or cancel the reservation.

Please arrive 15 mins before your departure.

A fairly big step has to be made into the boat; stewards will assist.

Large bachelor and birthday groups are not allowed on this trip.

Bringing pets is allowed as long as it doesn’t disrupt other passengers.
