Getting started

Begin your visit by presenting your ticket at the Wild Safari entrance. Once inside, make your way to the Safari Base Camp, where you can set your own pace exploring the animal exhibits and habitats. Staff and animal educators are available throughout the day to answer questions and share insights as you start your adventure.

What to expect

Safari Base Camp

The heart of the Wild Safari, this area features a variety of animal exhibits and habitats showcasing species from around the world.

Encounter colorful parrots, birds of prey, reptiles, insects, and mammals in thoughtfully designed habitats.

Access all animal exhibits and habitats included with your ticket, allowing you to observe and learn about the animals up close.

Animal educators deliver scheduled talks and presentations, offering facts, conservation stories, and behind-the-scenes details about the wildlife on site.

Safari Off-Road Adventure

Board an open-air vehicle for a 35-minute guided tour through the safari’s expansive grounds, home to nearly 1,200 animals from six continents.

Travel through distinct zones where you may see elephants, rhinos, tigers, giraffes, and lions, with guides pointing out unique behaviors and characteristics.

Your guide provides commentary on conservation efforts and answers questions, making the experience interactive and informative.

The tour is designed to give you a comprehensive look at the diversity of the animal residents and the safari’s ongoing conservation work.

Wrapping up

After your guided tour, you are free to revisit any animal exhibits or attend additional educational presentations at the Safari Base Camp. Special animal encounters, such as tortoise or lorikeet feedings, can be purchased on site and are subject to availability. Meals, souvenirs, and glamping accommodations at Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa are not included with your ticket.
