Your culinary adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from the Ubud center area, taking you to a vibrant local market. Here, you’ll explore the aisles filled with fresh produce, aromatic herbs, and spices unique to Balinese cuisine. With guidance from local chefs, you’ll select the essential ingredients for the dishes you’ll be cooking. Afterward, head to an organic farm where you’ll witness sustainable farming practices firsthand, learning how the fresh, organic ingredients add a special touch to Balinese food.

Once you arrive at the cooking venue—a traditional Balinese kitchen or an open pavilion surrounded by lush greenery—you’ll begin your hands-on cooking experience. Guided by expert chefs, you’ll prepare either 5 or 8 dishes, depending on your class choice, including staples like satay, nasi goreng, and sambal. Comfortable clothing is recommended for the cooking class, farm tour, and market visit. Bring along a hat and your sunscreen.

What's not allowed

Participants must meet the minimum age requirement of 10 years, as some cooking classes do not permit children under this age.

Vegetarian and vegan options are available to accommodate dietary restrictions.

You won't need to bring anything for cooking, as all ingredients and equipment will be supplied for the class.
