The Moorish Castle itself was great. Awesome to see how the Moors built the casket and learn the history. However Sintra tourism should make some changes They advise to go to the Pena Palace first early before the lines which we did. However to then get to the Moorish Castle you neeed to go all the way back down to the town on the bus and then back up. They should let you go to the Moorish Caskte first in the am and then go to the front of the line when at the Oen la Palace. It would save a lot of time

If you ever dreamt of a magical place, well this is it! Quinta da Regaleira is by far one of the most fascinating place in Sintra. The castle, the history behind it and the well will captivate your soul and imagination. I have visited Sintra twice in 6 years and Quinta da Regaleira is a must-see on everyone's list. Book in advance, head there and be ready to be enchanted by its aura.

What an unbelievable experience at this beautiful villa. Top to bottom it was fantastic. Service, meals, villas, and the grounds were all part of a much better experience than a regular hotel. We let the owner who stays on site and she has kept her families heritage in tact while adding a modern twist.

The gardens and house around the area are beautiful. Going down the "initiation" and experiencing it is amazing. There are too many people and they don't allow you to take your time in taking pictures because they want to keep the queue moving. It is worth it.

Overall it was a great experience. We did a lot of walking around the gardens and buildings. The audio tour using the Dex app was very good. You could spend all day there looking, walking and sitting to take in all the views.

This is the second time I've used the app, through which I bought tickets quickly and easily. I didn't have to wait in line and calmly waited for my time slot to enter the castle, and then the gardens, which were just as beautiful.

Arrival was complicated because I went by car and parking was difficult, so the day didn't start off well. Getting to the Quinta using directions from people in the town of Sintra went very well, because there are no signs at all. Inside the Quinta, it's absolute chaos because even though they give you a map, there is no signage for the sites, only for the well, the tower, and little else. In fact, I didn't know where the entrance was underneath the unfinished well, and I couldn't even find the Grotto of the Virgin—just like several other Spaniards and Latin Americans we spoke to. I had rented an audio guide, which kept crashing every few minutes and had to be restarted, so it worked very poorly. The well was very interesting (what I was able to hear on the audio guide before it crashed), but the staff did nothing but rush us through, so we couldn't take a photo in peace. The palace is very beautiful inside. A lot of things can be improved.

Quinta da Regaleira was one of the most evocative experiences of our trip to Portugal. A truly unique place where the palace, gardens, caves, underground passages, and initiation wells intertwine to create an almost magical atmosphere. The part that impressed us the most is definitely the garden: it's not your classic palace visit, but a real exploration, with hidden corners and completely different landscapes as you move along. The Initiation Well is spectacular and absolutely worth the visit. I recommend dedicating at least 2-3 hours to the visit, wearing comfortable shoes because there are several paths, staircases, and passages to cover. A fascinating, original, and out-of-the-ordinary place that definitely deserves to be included in your Sintra itinerary.

Entry was quick and without any waiting; we got the tickets for the first slot in the morning, which is when it's least crowded. It's worth walking through the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira, and then we went to the Pena Palace and walked around the palace grounds. If you like furniture, there is a ticket option that includes a visit to the rooms. There are shuttles that take you from Quinta da Regaleira to the Pena Palace for €10 per person, and they take you door-to-door.

Quinta da Regaleira Was amazing. We had timed tickets that worked perfectly. It is a magical place and a must visit if you are in Portugal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also not very crowded. The coffee shop had great food and was not expensive. You could spend hours there.
