Booking the tickets was easy. Pompeii was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. We spent four hours exploring it, which was more than enough for us. Of course, you could easily spend a whole day there. Herculaneum was just as interesting, and much of it is even better preserved than in Pompeii. It’s also much smaller, so a two-hour visit was sufficient for us. We highly recommend both sites!

On our way to Pompeii, we were approached by Headout staff right in front of the entrance, and they gave us clear instructions on where to go to redeem the registration we had completed the night before. We received a paper ticket and, as compensation, a discount on a Dutch-language guidebook about Pompeii. We had booked an audio tour, but since that doesn’t always work in practice, this was a nice offer.

Let's just say it didn't start off well—I hadn't realized I had to pick up the tickets at a different location than the main entrance—but luckily, I'd say, the tour started off perfectly from the amphitheater, which allowed us to explore the ruins very comfortably

Visiting Pompeii is a memorable experience. The site is extremely interesting from a historical perspective and offers a true glimpse into what daily life was really like during that Roman era. A must-see for anyone visiting Naples.

It's incredible what kind of infrastructure the ancient Romans built. We were really impressed! We hadn't imagined it would be this grand! Very impressive—highly recommended

Our visit to Herculaneum was spectacular... We took the train from Naples and walked to the entrance, absolutely delighted. We picked up an audio guide and started the tour with it... We had a great time and learned a lot... But since we're getting on in years, we were so tired by the end that we couldn't make it all the way to Pompeii—we'll try to go another day...

Both sites are fascinating, and you should plan plenty of time to visit them. Two to three hours are enough for Herculaneum, but you’ll need a full day (six hours) for Pompeii! You can refill your water bottles for free anywhere there, and the prices at the bistros and coffee shops are surprisingly affordable. Sturdy shoes. And it is really NOT suitable for people with mobility issues, strollers, babies, toddlers, or wheelchair users. Cons: Tickets are tied to a specific entrance, and you have to stop by a tourist information center beforehand to get them in printed form. There you can also get excellent guidebooks and maps for Pompeii, though of course everything costs extra. And there are far too few restrooms, which are in disrepair.

I bought a ticket online, with an audio guide... When I got there, they offered me a map and a book in Czech... which I didn't want... so take the radio so you can get the commentary in German, along with the map, because there's no internet here... Why do you sell tickets with the APP Guide if you know the internet doesn’t work? If that had been mentioned when I bought the ticket, I would have just bought the radio online, which was cheaper than paying 10 euros on-site—money I didn’t even use, since I only needed the map, which was also available for download on Google. You needlessly talked me into paying you 10 euros, on top of the ticket price...
