A stop at the Parliament is a must if you are visiting Bucharest; so much history and politics have left their mark here. It's an imposing structure commissioned by the dictator Ceaușescu with over 1,000 rooms. The guided tour is essential since you cannot enter on your own, and it lasts an hour. That feels a bit short considering everything there is to see and given the steep price of €35. The Italian-language guide was of good quality.

It was wonderful to be able to admire the Parliament building from the inside as well! Rocco, our guide, accompanied us, handling the organizational aspects in a very efficient and friendly manner, until he handed things over to Cristina, the guide who led us through the halls open to the public. I wasn’t very familiar with the country’s history, nor with everything that led to the building’s construction. What struck me most during the various tours I’ve taken over the past few days is the pride people have in their country—in what it has been through and what they’ve seen grow right before their eyes. A wonderful experience!

The guided tour of the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest is definitely worth it. Our guide explained the history of the palace to us in excellent Italian, providing plenty of information enriched with anecdotes and stories of real-life events. It was a very educational and pleasant visit. The only negative point: the tour started 15 minutes late compared to the scheduled time, and we had a rather tight schedule.
