The construction of the then Saint Engracia and currently the National Pantheon was started towards the end of the 16th century and was completed 350 years later in the 20th century. The monument stands as a unique testimony to the Portuguese style of Baroque art that stands on a hill overlooking the river Tagus. Head on to the terrace and enjoy panoramic views of the city and its river from a height of 80 meters.

- The Pantheon is accessible for wheelchair users but the dome area is not.
- Please note that it is advised to wear comfortable footwear to climb the stairs of Pantheon’s Dome.
- Free admission on Sundays and holidays until 2pm for all citizens residing in Portugal.
