The Pena Palace experience itself was amazing, but also ruined by the double pay for the tickets. We bought these park tickets by mistake . As we thought our time was short, we focused on visiting the palace itself, and we decided to skip the park. However, the platform does not allow editing of the ticket, even after a second of purchase. No no upgrade permittedted. Only new tickets. This sounded very unfair for us and we are sure this does not suit no one among the visiters. For Park Tickets add an upgrade option for PALACE or even for the all SINTRA PARK. That would be of grate help. Im not considering the refund options, but at least the upgrade has to be considered, if you mind the satisfaction of your visitors. Easy to get our tickets through Headout, fast delivery and good description. Choosing to visit Quinta da Regaleira first and then walk the path to Pena Palace was a good idea, but you need to set aside some time for that hike because there are many meters of elevation difference between the two places. We chose to go into the park at Pena first and walk for a while in it before using our booked time to Pena Palace. Both Regaleira and Pena Palace were definitely worth visiting, very exciting and beautiful architecture and the view from Pena is magnificent. After finishing the visit, we chose to walk back down to Sintra to take the train back to Lisbon. In summary, it was a very successful day but many spectacular views and interesting architecture.

I know I heard from some that Pena Palace is a little "overrated" but I couldn't disagree more. Sure, it isn't as old as some of Portugals other landmarks and castles. But, the experience I had exploring and especially on top of the big balcony (which you just buy these tickets to enter the interior and therefore also the grand balcony) was a spiritual experience that almost brought tears to my eyes because of how amazing the view was from up top. A special place, which amazing views and amazing architecture. Also, fascinating was the valuables, personal items, and rooms staged from the times of the Kings who called this palace their home. Absolute must for any history buff.

The experience was wonderful! Both Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira were absolutely beautiful, with incredible architecture, gardens, and views. There were quite a lot of people, but the lines moved quickly and everything was well organized. Despite the crowds, it felt peaceful and magical — definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Sintra! Even if you take a tuk-tuk up to Pena Palace, there’s still quite a lot of walking and some steep uphill paths, so comfortable shoes are a must.

We visited the Pena Palace & Park early in the morning, and it was the best decision — there was almost no queue, and we got in straight away! The palace itself is absolutely gorgeous, every room is full of stunning details and colors. The park around it is just as beautiful, perfect for a walk and amazing photos. Definitely worth buying the tickets — the experience was magical and totally unforgettable!

The palacio da pena was great, we went early in the morning and were able to park in the parking lot upstairs next to the palace. The problem was with the quinta da regaleira, we had the entrance at 15:30 and it was impossible to park nearby. As we were with a small child we decided not to go in. Terrible parking, I don't understand how there is not a big one, even if it is paid.

Sintra is one of the most incredible cities in the world and the palace of pena and the quinta da regaleira are unmissable, as well as landscapes that complement each other well. The experience with the purchase was simple, I just recommend paying attention to mobility in the city. There are a lot of breathtaking climbs, so I recommend a Bolt or a drop on/off bus to make it easier.

I didn't enjoy it. It's a colorful mid nineteenth century castle filled with art that isn't significantly important and a testament of the horrible taste of queen Victoria's nephews and neices. We were herded through like cattle and I was surprised one of us didn't Moo. It's a really expensive trip for nothing. Go to Quelez.
