We really enjoyed our single day in the chaotic, fascinating city of Naples. The undisputed highlight was the National Archaeological Museum, which houses stunning artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum alongside ancient Egyptian antiquities like mummies. As for the hop-on, hop-off tour, we didn't give ourselves enough time—you need at least two hours just to complete the loop without getting off.

Well it was very quick and easy getting into the Museum with the skip-the-line tickets and the museum itself was fascinating + well worth a visit; the only challenge was trying to find / figure out where the toilet was!

Wow. I've seen many Roman museum collections, but this museum's collection is on a whole other level. Breathtaking! And only visit the scale model of Pompeii on the second floor after visiting the ruins and the museum. That room is the perfect conclusion to a Roman experience.

Our visit to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples was particularly interesting and informative. I had visited Pompeii and Herculaneum before the trip to the museum. The museum had a lot more from both sites than I was expecting it's well worth a visit but be warned it's in a very rough and dirty part of Naples
