The coach - with ample room left on time. The driver provided a commentary of interesting facts. Pickup time was arranged - again the drive was on time - then he announced a surprise bonus - limoncello tasting and various other drinks/ confectionary. This rounded off the magnificant trip!!

The guide spotted us from a distance and made sure we found the right spot. The ride was great! The narrow roads made the climb a bit nerve-wracking. We made our way up, had a little time to catch our breath, and then headed back down. We had plenty of time for that. It was a hot day, but we got cold drinks at the top. The ride back down left right on time, and when we arrived, we had the option to get off at the train station, which made things much easier for us.

The trip to Vesuvius from Pompeii was well organized, and the transfers were on time. What we found lacking was the time we spent there: only 1 hour and 10 minutes to go up, come down, and enjoy the views. If it takes about 25 minutes each way, there’s barely any time left once you’re at the top. Also, we couldn’t use the digital guide because there’s no cell service at the summit. They should allow more time to enjoy the visit.
