Why Watch The Book of Mormon

After nearly seven years of painstaking development, The Book of Mormon debuted on stage at Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre in 2011. Since then, it has had productions in London, Norway, Sweden, Australia, and recently, even Denmark.

At the 2014 West End Frame Awards, The Book of Mormon was voted the Funniest West End Show. Directed in collaboration with Casey Nicholaw, the subtle references, and zestful wordplay is bound to leave you in splits. The Story

Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham are missionaries sent to northern Uganda, to convince the population to take up Mormonism. While Elder Price is an ardent devotee and poster boy for the LDS Church, also known as the Mormon Church, his accomplice, Elder Cunningham, is rather uptight and dishonest.

On reaching the village in Uganda, the pair come to realise that the villagers are oppressed by a vicious warlord. Converting to a different religion was the least of their concerns. Will the unlikely pair be successful in the endeavour that has taken them to an entirely different continent? Will their contrasting personalities and approaches prove to be too large a gap to bridge?

Quick getting into the theatre even with a long que for bag check. Friendly staff, and most importantly amazing permormance!

The sarcasm and the in your face script! The various themes in the show have left me pondering and they were so on target. The cast were brilliant as were the musicians - fabulous !. The energy of the cast and the rapport with the audience was superb. The whole experience was very professional. On a negative note - my seat was C42 and the draft from the air purifier was chilly. Luckily I had a jumper and a jacket but my knees were cold which was a distraction from a wonderful performance! I hope to see it again - in a different seat.

I accidentally booked the wrong day and my tickets were rebooked on the night for great seats. Appreciate the woman who helped us out in the theatre so much!

Headout was fine but the seating plan did not indicate that tere was a wall and not an aisle on the right send of the row. I needed an aisle due to a right leg problem. The show itself was good. One member of staff was extremely helpful where most of the cattle herders were simply useless and annoying.

All worked perfectly so easy! Thoroughly enjoyed show. Booking easy, used electric ticket. Got confirmation on purchase with tickets. Emailed 3 days before to give info on arrival, etc.
