The story is based on the Broadway husband-wife duo, Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, whose off-stage battles were epic! Directed by Bartlett Sher, director of 'To Kill a Mockingbird', the musical also includes Cole Porter's energetic musical numbers like Too Darn Hot and So In Love.
The Story
First to win the Tony Award for Best Musical, Kiss Me, Kate revolves around themes of jealousy and passion and the fine line between love and hate. When sparring divorcees Lilli Vanessi and Fred Graham come together to re-enact Shakespeare's popular play, 'Shrew', their off-stage battles soon start spilling over on stage.
