  • American author Hanya Yanagihara published her first book, A Little Life, in 2015. It became a best-selling novel despite being lengthy and addressing challenging subjects. Now, it is coming to the Harold Pinter Theatre in West End for the very first time, marking its English-language premiere on the 25th of March and will be performed till the 18th of June. Dealing with the themes of sexual abuse, child abuse and violence, A Little Life tells a grim tale. The theatrical sensation of 2023 features James Norton (Happy Valley, Grantchester) as Jude St. Francis under visionary director Ivo van Hove's guidance (Network, A View from the Bridge).     The Story

    The play tells the story of four friends while they live in New York City: Willem, an aspiring actor; Malcolm, a successful architect; JB, a struggling artist; and Jude, a brilliant lawyer. These friends are closely knitted by their love for Jude, however, Jude's past is filled with mysteries, and obstacles like addiction, ambition, and pride threaten to destroy their brotherhood.
