My kids found it realistic and loved that the actors were actually children as it truly immersed them in the world. They found Mrs Trunchbull hilarious, and really enjoyed all the songs. The adults really loved the stagecraft and I was personally wowed by the performance of the School Song, with the alphabet letters cleverly pushed through a frame and the performer climbing on top of them lighting up as they go - really fantastic!

Matilda is definitely not just for kids. 💙 It’s wholesome, funny, warm, a little mischievous, and genuinely magical. The kind of theatre that leaves you smiling long after it ends. A lovely reminder that you’re never too old for a little magic, a little rebellion, and a story about finding your own voice.

Little Matilda’s performance was masterful! The whole production was magnificent, and all the actors were excellent! It’s just a pity we don't speak English well enough to understand all the subtleties of the dialogue.

Amazing team of actors! We're trully impressed by the quality of the singing acts and kids actors are sooo talented! Our 9 year old loved it, and we've also!!! A great show for families!

Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book, Matilda the Musical delights audiences with clever humour, a defiant young heroine, and a powerful story of standing up.

Winner of 100+ awards (including 25 for Best Musical), critics at The Daily Telegraph accurately hail the production as "hilarious, moving, and glorious."

Playing at the Cambridge Theatre, it is now the 10th longest-running musical in West End history, cementing its status as a modern theatrical classic.

The playful, precise staging requires 8,320 balloons and 100 tubs of chocolate spread yearly, alongside 86 complex sound cues per performance.

Expect bold choreography and fan-favorite songs like “When I Grow Up” and “Revolting Children.” Book your London tickets today!

The story

In a quiet English village, young Matilda Wormwood stands out, not for trouble, but for her brilliance, quick wit, and love of books. Neglected by her brash parents and ruled by the fearsome Miss Trunchbull at school, Matilda discovers a spark of something truly extraordinary. As tensions rise, she hatches a bold plan to outwit the adults and rewrite her own fate… but how far will her courage take her?
