All I'm saying is that it was very difficult to choose which musical my mom and I would attend while in London and I'm so glad I chose Matilda. Try to get center seats (up high) so you can see the different layers of the set and you will not be disappointed. From beginning to end it was nonstop fun, laughs, great music, and maybe even a little lump in my throat at times. I would return to London just to see this again. And there's some thing about English children because the audience, which was 40 % kids were all so well-behaved!

The booking was fast and easy. The only intimidating part was the mistake of the places we have booked. The officers at the theatre changed our seats , they have been doubled and it was explained to us the seats which we showed them on our ticket were wrong. So we missed 10 minutes of the beginning of the show. Please try to improve this.

It was an unforgettable experience. The artists' voices and performances, the scenography (sets and "special effects"), the choreography, the choice of music... Everything contributed to making this show a magical interlude in our stay in London. We came away enchanted. A fine tribute to Roald Dahl!

    The story

In a quiet English village, young Matilda Wormwood stands out, not for trouble, but for her brilliance, quick wit, and love of books. A first experience of musical comedy for an 11-year-old girl who doesn't speak English but knew the story. She loved it, as did the adults. Dynamic staging and top-notch performers, with a special mention for Matilda, who was breathtaking.
