Giancarlo is an excellent guide; he explained each of the places we visited in great detail, which was essential for us to get a general overview of the city and its residents in a short amount of time.

Herculaneum was a once in a lifetime experience. It was really well preserved, with whole murals, kitchens and even some wooden doors! The only issue that knocked off a star was unfortunately it wasn't very accessible. I am in a wheelchair and it was a huge struggle. There were accessible ramps, for example down to the skeletons, but it was closed off! It meant that getting to some of the best bits were a struggle. Overall it was an experience that is worth it, definitely.

Even from the outside, I could already imagine what I was going to see, and thanks to the skip-the-line pass, we went right in. The concierges were incredibly kind, but what I saw exceeded my wildest expectations: the amphitheater, the insulae, and the domus with their stunning decorations. Unfortunately, because it was so crowded, I wasn’t able to see the forum… so I’ll have to come back!!!!

Our tour guide, Luciano Leone, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the ruins and history. He did an excellent tour and we learned so much. He covered a lot of Pompeii as well, which was wonderful for us as we toured Pompeii the next day. The ruins were new to us and we left very satisfied. Thank you.

Our visit to Herculaneum was really nice! There was so much left to see and it was amazing to see how people back then lived. Even the remains of the bodies that were found in Herculaneum were incredible to see. And there was so much information to read, which was great to learn all about everything that happened there.

It was a great experience, even though it was really hot (but we were prepared). The audio guide was useful and enjoyable. My only advice is to pick up a map of the site at the entrance so you can better plan your routes, and then use the audio guide at each place you visit.
