The tour itself was fantastic. The only problem I had is that the order didn't mention that the tour is only in German. Luckily my wife is a German speaker so she translated it for me, but it is worth mentionting on the website. The order page was in English so I got the impression that the tour is as well.

We went to the Hamburg Dungeon today as a family (5 people aged between 10 and 45) and it was just great! From the very first second we were drawn into the dark history of Hamburg: gripping actors, great scenery, a perfect mix of suspense, horror and humor. We were particularly impressed by how interactive everything is. You are not just a spectator, but right in the middle of the action. It was a real highlight of the day for us. However, it does take a bit of courage. We will definitely be back!

The professional actors and the special dramatic effects ensure you experience a special kind of live entertainment with 11 different shows on a 90-minute tour.

Thrilling rides and themed sets

Ride the 'Elevator of Doom', and descend into a world of dungeon, cogs, and chains. You can also get an insight into the dark years of the Plague or try to save the pirate Klaus Störtebecker from execution. Lovers of the macabre will have the time of their life for sure! It isn’t for the faint of heart, but for everyone aged 10 and over!
