Superb tour of Manhattan and the Summit at the end. Thanks to our guide Sara, who had lots of anecdotes to share with us, and was extremely dynamic throughout, despite the freezing temperature! It took about 2h30, but it was well worth it 🙂

The tour prior to the observation deck was great. Very knowlegdable guide who had great information about architechture and history of NYC. The lines at the observation deck were very long despite a "reservation". It took about 90 minutes in multiple lines.

After your walking tour, make your way to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. Scan your ticket at the entrance for access to the observatory.

What to expect

A one-of-a-kind multi-sensory experience, SUMMIT blends art, technology, and architecture. Explore mirrored spaces in Air, marvel at skyline reflections in Reflect, and test your courage on the glass-floor ledges in Levitation. From 1,100 feet high, soak in unmatched views of the Empire State Building and the glittering cityscape.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

There’s no place to store personal items, so leave large bags, backpacks, and luggage at home. All bags and containers will go through a quick security check before entry.

You’re welcome to snap plenty of photos, but stick to personal handheld devices. Professional cameras, tripods, and other bulky gear aren’t allowed inside.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the visit.

Don’t forget your sunglasses since the mirrored surfaces and reflective materials make the space especially bright during the day.

Since the floors are made of glass and mirrors, it’s best to dress thoughtfully. Pants, shorts, or tights are recommended to keep you comfortable.

Choose flat, comfortable shoes for your visit. Stilettos, steel-toe boots, cleats, and other footwear that could damage the floors aren’t permitted.
