The tour was really interesting. Our guide spoke with great enthusiasm and knowledge—we loved it. It’s definitely worth spending an hour and a half discovering this hidden side of Naples. Even though we booked in advance, we had to wait almost half an hour. We arrived 15 minutes early, but it took another 15 minutes to get in.

Everything was great! The tour was extremely well-organized and right on time. Underground Naples is practically a city below street level. If you’re brave enough (and I highly recommend it) to tackle what the guides call the “difficult route,” you’ll get to see pools filled with water more than 50 meters below ground!

It rained a lot on the day of our excursion. It was a bit of a hassle as we had to wait outside in the queue for almost half an hour. We were there an extra 15 minutes beforehand. Afterwards, however, we had a great guided tour through the tunnels of Naples. Bex explained everything to us in very good English. It was very interesting. Thank you very much. Good service organization, maybe at the entrance a bit confusing because of the many people. The queue jumper is indispensable. The staff at the entrance is a bit cold to those waiting in line. The guide who takes you to Do the hike on the other hand is nice and knowledgeable.... The steps seem like a lot but they are actually wide and comfortable. Recommended

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair or stroller as there are 121 low and wide steps to access the underground with no elevators or escalators.

Additional information

For people with claustrophobia: There is one optional narrow tunnel. Those who do not want to walk the tunnel can take an alternate route and wait 10 minutes for the group.

Please note that Italian tours run hourly from 10am to 5pm, and guests must arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before their chosen slot.

If you opt for the post-tour pizza experience, the pizza will be served at the end of the tour at Le Sorelle Bandiera (Vico Cinquesanti 33), where your guided visit concludes. Guides will drop you off at the pizzeria entrance, and you can claim your Margherita or Marinara pizza and drink by showing your tour ticket or voucher.
