The view is absolutely stunning—highly recommended. If you have trouble walking, there’s an elevator (bookable). However, there are 90 steps leading up to the rooftop terrace. You can enjoy the view in all four directions, and on a clear day, you can see far beyond the city.

Your visit begins at the Milan Cathedral entrance. Depending on your ticket, you can choose to climb 250 stairs or take the lift to reach the terraces. For a faster experience, skip-the-line access allows you to bypass the queues and head straight up to the rooftop.

Terrace views: Enjoy panoramic views over Milan’s skyline. From this elevated vantage point, you can spot landmarks like Sforza Castle, the Duomo’s 135 spires, and the iconic Madonnina statue atop the Tiburio.

Candoglia marble forest: Wander through the cathedral’s “stone forest” of intricate spires and pinnacles, carved from signature pink-hued Candoglia marble. Keep an eye out for curious details in the stonework—like Dante’s face, an icepick, a rope, and more.
