Choose between two beekeeping experiences at Terra, Expo City Dubai, an immersive hive visit for families and adults, or a hands-on, small-group workshop designed especially for kids aged 5–12.
Getting started
Arrive at Terra in Expo City Dubai and show your mobile voucher with a valid photo ID. After check-in, meet your instructor, get fitted with protective beekeeping gear, and begin with a short safety briefing before entering the apiary or workshop.
What to expect
Set within Terra’s pollinator-focused environment, both experiences offer a close look at bees, their role in nature, and how honey is made, through guided, hands-on learning.

Experience options

Inside the Hive Experience (Families & adults): Join a guided hive tour and take part in a hands-on honey-harvesting activity, with your own jar of honey to take home.

Kids’ Beekeeping Scientist Experience (Ages 5–12): Enjoy a 60-minute interactive workshop with games, quizzes, and a beeswax candle-making activity, led in a small group by an expert in native Arabian bees.

Comfortable, layered attire suitable for an outdoor workshop.

Closed shoes and socks (no sandals or open‑toed footwear).

No perfume, strong scents, or lotions that could disturb the bees.

Packed lunch or cash/card to buy food at Terra’s café (lunch is not included in the program fee).
What’s not allowed

Interacting with hives, equipment, or bees without direct instructor guidance.

Disregarding any safety instructions during live hive observation.

Bringing outside food or drinks into the apiary area (except water).
