This is a must-see: the history, rooms, paintings, etc., etc. (in our opinion, even more so than St. Mark's Basilica). I could easily have spent 3 hours or more taking in all this history, this richness, and these superb paintings and sculptures, as well as understanding the power exercised and the authority so well suited to governing the city and all the neighboring countries, with whom the Doges maintained such fine, respected diplomacy. From the chamber for territorial decisions to the law enforcement rooms and beyond, all the way across the Bridge of Sighs from the inside to the depths of the dungeons (with a nod to Casanova, of course...). I had already been to the Doge's Palace and was enchanted by its magnificence, so I decided to gift the ticket (10% off) to a friend of mine for her birthday. What can I say, the rooms are always magnificent and rich in art, absolutely jaw-dropping! The route is very well organized, with the free audio guide included. The option to enter at any time without long lines or unwanted waiting is great. Also included in the ticket are the Correr Museum, the Marciana Library, and the Archaeological Museum, which are very nice and quick to visit. Highly recommended!LLaura T

You need to give yourself a good 3-4 hours in the Palace. We visited the Correr Museum later in the afternoon which was better, than doing it all at once.
