⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Incredible — A Must-See in London! Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre in London was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The Lyric Theatre is a beautiful, intimate venue, and the best part is that there truly isn’t a bad seat in the house. Every seat offers a fantastic view of the stage, which made the entire performance feel incredibly immersive. The pacing of the show is perfection. It moves effortlessly from one moment to the next, keeping you completely captivated without ever feeling rushed or dragging. And the cast… WOW! Every single performer brought incredible power, emotion, and personality to their character. Each role was portrayed with such depth that you couldn’t help but become completely invested in their stories. And the music! The songs are absolutely mesmerizing. Beautiful, haunting, soulful, and unforgettable. The combination of the music, lighting, choreography, and performances creates an atmosphere that pulls you right into the world of Hadestown. I took my teenage daughter, and watching her experience the show was honestly one of my favorite parts. She loved every single minute of it! It’s rare to find a show that can completely captivate both adults and teenagers, but Hadestown absolutely delivered. Every character gave a stellar performance, and the entire cast deserves tremendous praise. There was so much talent on that stage, and you could feel the energy and passion throughout the entire theater. If you’re in London, GO SEE HADESTOWN. Don’t hesitate. The intimate Lyric Theatre, phenomenal cast, mesmerizing music, and flawless pacing make this a theatrical experience you won’t forget. 10/10 — absolutely brilliant! 🎭❤️

It was without a doubt one of the most energetic and talented cast that I have seen for a very long time . It's unfair to pick out one cast member (especially the red-headed Persephone) but all delivered performances that felt fresh and joyous. in a word ,all were outstanding . Being able to see and read the transcript of the production was for me personally a highlight . It was like hearing /reading a love letter to the Gods . It was just so damn brilliant. From the staging to the incredible live band it was well worth flying across the globe to see . The connection with the audience was palpable and the standing ovation truly deserved . Bravo ....and yes , I'd gladly come back to London to see it again .

Absolutely captivating atmosphere in the theatre. Just getting to see all the details in choreography the cast album can't capture would've been worth it, but the dynamics on stage were something else entirely. Everyone involved, actors, band members as well as all those working off stage were just lovely, treated us with kindness and to a great show and made the evening into one we'll look back on with fondness for a long while.

The show was absolutely wonderful. Everybody in the cast perfectly embodied their character. And the music is obviously magical. I loved every minute of it. I also think it's great that you can't use your phone during theatre (duh) because you're just so much more in the moment. I just snagged a little photo during the beautiful encore. Lovely experience. I already want to go back.

The performance was mesmerizing. The actors gave their everything and I truly could feel their passion for performing and telling a story through such means. The lightining and other effects made the immersion take full effect and I couldn't help but perceive it all as if I was there with them. Made me experience emotions I didn't know were within me. Whole performance was amazing, first time seeing it and spent it with my girlfriend for our first day trip couldn't have been a more perfect show. Only note I'll remember for next time is how little legroom the seats have and I'm 6"2 so defo need to get standing seats next time

Historien

Hadestown er en historie om kærlighedens prøvelser og trængsler. Hovedomdrejningspunktet er to par: de fattige Orfeus og Eurydike og underverdenens konge Hades og hans kone Persefone. Da Persefone er meget ked af det over at skulle vende tilbage til underverdenen, efter at hun har besøgt verden ovenover, tager Hades ud for at finde en, der vil sætte pris på det, hans hjem har at byde på. Han finder Eurydike og overtaler hende til at flytte til underverdenen i bytte for mad og beskyttelse. Eurydike går med til det og bliver ansat i Hadestown, Hades' mørke underjordiske fabrik. Da Orfeus finder ud af det, sværger han at redde Eurydike. Det, der følger efter, er en hjerteskærende fortælling om opofrelse, triumf og skæbnens mystiske spil.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The actors embodied their characters fully, we were engaged from start to finish. The music, singing ans stage setting were phenomenal we left the theater feeling like we had just been to Hadestown. Excellent performance BRAVO!!!

gorgeous theatre, staff were so nice. super easy to get around and i had an amazing seat (A19). had to lean forward slightly at times to see the front of the stage but so worth it. would definitely go again.

The ambiance and the whole show was amazing. Definitely a must see. These seats were perfect definitely for the price as well. You obly could not see the balcony but did not affect the show nor the story.
