During the process, they start singing songs that trace the history of African-American women through the years. Starting with the trials of 1930s, the girl groups of the 60s, to empowerment in the 1990s. Get ready to jump on your feet and dance to songs like “Oh, Happy Day”, “Mama Said”, “I Will Survive”, “Tyrone”, “I Am Not My Hair” and “A Woman’s Worth”.
Sistas first premiered on October 23rd, 2011 and has been running for 7 years.
