Main Entrance (Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico)
Located at Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico, 20, this is the only official entrance to Bioparco. You'll find it at the north end of Villa Borghese, just steps from the tram stop and a short walk from Metro Line A (Flaminio or Spagna stations). The entrance features a grand arched gate and is clearly signposted. While the entry plaza is flat and accessible, please note that some interior paths in the park are hilly or uneven, which may pose challenges for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Strollers are permitted, but certain areas (like the Reptile House and some aviaries) have narrow or steep access.
Special Closures: Closed on December 25.
Exhibit Closures: Many animal houses (e.g., Reptile House, chimpanzees, elephants, rhinos) begin closing 30–60 minutes before park closing time. Please plan your route accordingly.
Holiday & Event Hours: During major holidays (Easter, Christmas, summer weekends), the park may adjust hours or host special events.
Children's play area and petting farm are available for families and young visitors.
Dining outlets and cafes are located throughout the park, offering snacks, meals, and beverages.
A souvenir shop is located near the main exit, offering gifts and Bioparco merchandise.
Toilets are available at several locations throughout the park. Some restrooms may require a short walk from certain exhibits.
First aid services are available on-site. Please contact staff in case of emergency.
ATMs are available near the entrance for your convenience.
An information desk is located at the entrance for maps, schedules, and visitor assistance.
Some areas of Bioparco are wheelchair accessible, but not all. The terrain includes steep and unpaved paths, and certain buildings may be difficult to access.
Strollers are allowed in most areas, but some paths and buildings (such as the Reptile House and certain aviaries) may not be stroller-friendly.
