Meet your guide near Amsterdam Central Station and check in before departure. After an e bike fitting and safety briefing, familiarize yourself with the controls and pedal assist system before setting off with your group. Your journey begins with a ferry crossing across the IJ, carrying you from the city toward the quieter landscapes of North Holland.

This 4.5 hour countryside tour combines scenic cycling with traditional Dutch culture. Riding a pedal assist e bike allows you to comfortably cover around 40 kilometres, taking you through historic villages, reclaimed polder landscapes, canal lined routes, and working farmland. Along the way, you'll gain insight into how water management, agriculture, and local traditions have shaped life beyond Amsterdam's city centre.

Waterland countryside cycling route: Follow a route through the Waterland region, passing dikes, canals, grazing meadows, and centuries old villages such as Broek in Waterland and Monnickendam. The ride also includes a ferry crossing and views of traditional Dutch landscapes that stretch far beyond the urban skyline.

Cheese farm and clog making demonstration: Visit a traditional Dutch farm where you'll learn how Gouda cheese and wooden clogs are made. Watch craftsmen at work, hear about these long standing traditions, and sample locally produced cheese during your visit.

What to bring

Be prepared for unpredictable weather since a light drizzle is quite constant in Amsterdam. Pack waterproof jackets for a weather-ready kit.
