We chose the behind-the-scenes tour. I went with my 16-year-old son, who’s a huge soccer fan. I highly recommend this experience. The facilities are incredible, and the staff who guided us during the tour were top-notch! You get to tour all the facilities, including the locker rooms, the press area, and even step out onto the field. There’s a virtual reality area, and you can head to the store to do some shopping. We went in July around 4:00 p.m. and were practically the only ones there. Everything was perfect.

What a great experience! We loved the tour of Benfica’s stadium—it was very interesting and well-organized. We also got to see Benfica’s famous eagles 🦅, which really made the tour even more special. I went to the stadium with my son and my family. We really enjoyed the tour; the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The attractions during the tour are really cool; every area of the stadium is put to good use, and the facility is very well-maintained. Everything is well-signposted, and we were able to “soak up,” in a way, the club’s culture. We really enjoyed seeing the field and the locker room, as well as the immersive experience at the end with the 3D glasses.

The SL Benfica Stadium, also known as the Estádio da Luz or the Stadium of Light, is the home ground of SL Benfica, and Portugal's largest football stadium. Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, drinking, and any form of drugs, is strictly prohibited within the stadium and museum.

Stepping on the pitch or the grass is not allowed during your tour of the museum.

Accessibility

The stadium has wheelchairs available for use at both the stadium & museum, subject to signing a liability waiver.

Elevators at the stadium ensure accessibility across all levels.

The museum has an elevator, ramps, and benches throughout, making it accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.

Additional information

You cannot visit the stadium on match days. Make sure to check the schedule before booking your tickets.

On European soccer match days, stadium visits are also not possible 2 days before and 1 day after the game.
