Was a great experience, definitly worth a visit! But, on a bad note; headout sends QR codes that arent for admission which kind of confuses the whole situation, Had to go to the ticket desk to clarify booking. While there we realised that there is lillte to no que, and it was half the price that headout charged, So its a bit of a tourist rip off!! take a chance and buy tickets at the venue!!

The view from the terrace of the Altar of the Fatherland was spectacular. The tour inside Palazzo Venezia was also particularly interesting, complete with descriptions of the rooms.

There are days in Rome that, even if you've been visiting for years, still feel as good as the first time. Last week, some friends and I went to the Altare della Patria. The initial idea was the classic "let's go for a coffee and then see," but ending up on the roof of Rome is a whole other story. When you reach the top, the view slaps you in the face with history, but in an epic way. There's that mixture of blinding white marble and the sky of Rome, which always seems bluer than anywhere else. Once you reach the panoramic terrace, silence (or almost) descends on its own. I'm not going to give a history lesson, but seeing the Colosseum on one side, the Imperial Forums below your feet, and then turning your gaze towards the rooftops of Prati or St. Peter's... makes you feel very small, but in a positive way. It's the place where you really understand why this city is called "eternal." There's an atmosphere that makes you want to take a break from your phone. We sat down for a moment in a corner, watched the cars coming and going like ants down in the square, and talked about everything and nothing. It's the kind of place that makes you appreciate beauty effortlessly, without having to pay an exorbitant ticket price or stand in long lines indoors.

I didn’t mean to give five stars, but I absolutely do not recommend this excursion, nor buying the tickets on this website. We paid €30 per person, but the tickets didn’t work. We had to call customer support, which made us waste time while waiting for them to email us the valid tickets. On top of that, since we are students, the on-site price would have been €5, yet we paid €30. For information, the regular adult price is €18 (with everything included, of course). That said, the monument itself is absolutely beautiful.

An unforgettable experience with my girlfriend. The view from the terrace, accessible via a glass elevator, is simply breathtaking. The secret garden of Palazzo Venezia is also wonderful.

This was one of the few places that we did not have to queue to enter. We enjoyed the magnificent views from the roof and the cafe allowed a welcome break as well.
  • Skip the line and ride the glass elevator to panoramic rooftop views over Rome.

    • How it works: Show your ticket at the Vittoriano Complex at your selected time, ride the glass elevator to the rooftop, then visit the Museum of the Risorgimento and Palazzo Venezia at your own pace.

    • Add-ons: Upgrade with an audio guide in multiple languages, or an audio and video guide with richer multimedia stories.

    • Good to know: The terraces stay relatively uncrowded even at peak hours. The northern terrace gives the clearest sightline over the Roman Forum.

    • Skip-the-line access to Altar of the Fatherland Glass Elevator

    • Skip-the-line entry to the Museum of the Risorgimento

    • Skip-the-line entry to Palazzo Venezia

    • Ancient Rome multimedia video (as per option selected)
