Day Trip to Mt. Bürgenstock & Lake Lucerne from Zürich with Funicular Ride

Your day starts with a scenic coach ride from Zurich, through the beautiful countryside. Along the way, you will pass by the shores of the Lake of the Four Cantons and reach the charming town of Lucerne. There will be a quick photo stop en route, either at Lake Lucerne or the Lion Monument. Don't forget to keep your camera at the ready! Then, make your way to Lucerne's Old Town. In the noon, board the Bürgenstock shuttle boat that takes you to Kehrsiten. Once you reach the Bürgenstock funicular railway, it's time for an exciting ride up. Dating back to 1827, the resort played host to the rich and the famous, including the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn, and Sean Connery! Shop away or nibble on food from the restaurants at the resort, or explore the hiking paths around here. You'll also enjoy astonishing views of the lake and the city! If you're looking for some more adventure, go on an alpine hike to the Hammetschwand Lift, the world’s highest exterior elevator.
