Best things to do in Zermatt

We experienced perfect weather for the Jungfrau. We loved the train up there and then the views and ice tunnels were magical. The restaurant was very reasonable price and very tasty. We had traditional Swiss pork meal and Cheese Fondue. Would highly recommend for any other fellow Aussies or overseas travellers to come!

The cable car ride up, the chance to see a glacier up close, the realization that human beings are very small in this marvellous natural world.

The price should not be considered in relation to what we will see and what beautiful memories we will have for the rest of our lives 🤩 Tickets sent in email and via app. From the Tasch itself to the Matterhorn hassle-free and in fact everything included 🤩 In Zermatt, it's either a leisurely about 20 minute walk to where the cable car is or a cab for about 30F. On site before the queue you just have to show at the ticket office the number from your reservation and the lady prints tickets that later open all the gates for us. The summit as well as the ice museum will never let us forget it. We were with children 4 and 7 years old so they had free 🤩 Altitude sickness only manifested itself at the very top. Son 4l couldn't walk because his legs hurt and he was severely disoriented and didn't know what was going on, daughter 7l had a headache. We adults had a hard time breathing and were also dizzy. This has to be taken into account. I highly recommend buying tickets here!

Once you learn how to use the app., it makes traveling so much easier and cheaper! I've used it for busses and trains multiple times and am starting to feel like a pro!

Not having to stand in line to get tickets fir each trip,, just get on get off no worries. You can see the whole country from the train .In comfort .And if hungry you can go to dinning car.

We rode the Eurostar from London to Paris. Bought the Global 10 day pass first, and now all the train journeys are so cheap to secure seats. Paris is amazing in Autumn and if this is off peak, then I couldn't cope with more people. Such a busy city. Off to Switzerland tomorrow on another train adventure.

Surreal. The beauty is beyond human imagination. Any word used to describe the beauty of Swiss Alps is an understatement. The train ride was very comfortable.
