Just seeing the Matterhorn is and staff on site assisted to change our day from Thursday to Wednesday. This was great as Thursday the mountain was socked in

If you're in Zermatt this is a must. At first I thought it was a little expensive, but worth every cent and more. You will need long pants and a warm jacket for the top and we were there early September. Take a few hours to go hiking at the second level. The views are spectacular. Show your online ticket at the main ticket office and they give you a physical ticket which is needed to go up and down. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about it.

What an amazing trip with fantastic views of the Matterhorn and glaciers. Would highly recommend this trip to get the best close up views of the Matterhorn. Cable car ride was easy to navigate and a wonderful way to get to the highest viewing platform in Europe. I did feel a little altitude sickness when at the top but soon disappeared once went back down to the next stop.

The Gondola ride was amazing...traveling across the massive mountain range...and being lifted higher each time.....the end part just when you thought you couldn't be lifted higher.,,you were!! Spectacular , magnificent views of the largest mountain range I have ever seen !

Easy to purchase ticket, voucher was waiting at ticket counter when we arrived and we were given physical tickets for entry. No problems at all.

Begin your adventure at the Zermatt-Matterhorn valley station. In no time, get to Europe’s highest mountain station – the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise!

Pass through lush green meadows and enchanting forests as the landscape gradually transforms into impressive moraines and stones made of ice and glaciers, the Trockerner Steg. Here, get into the 3S cable car and transport yourself up the mountain where you can enjoy spectacular views and heated seats as you cross the Theodul Glacier.

On visiting the summit, go up the viewing platform. You will be awestruck by the 38 alpine giants of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps. Once you reach the cinema lounge, you can watch movies based on mountaineering, the lift facilities, the local flora and fauna, and more.

Know Before You Go

Important Information:

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes on this cable car ride.
Wear warm clothing as it tends to get pretty chilly at the top.
For health reasons (altitude sickness), children aged 3 and under are not transported on the installations between Tr. Steg and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
